Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Jack's preschool class took a field trip to the pumpkin patch and families were invited to come. Thankfully JB could take the time off so he joined us too! When we first got to Camp Corey, we got to go on a hay ride around the patch. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that....After the ride, the kids got to make rockets. The rockets were put on a PVC pipe launcher and they got to launch their rockets!! Jack and Kenzie LOVED this part! Daddy helping create the rockets.

Jack getting ready to launch his first rocket.

Kenzie needed a little help, but loved launching the rockets! And off to find pumpkins.......

The deal was you had to be able to carry out your own pumpkin. Jack had to pick up every pumpkin to see if he could carry it out!

Mommy trying to help the kiddos find the "perfect" pumpkin!

Kenzie was very proud of her pumpkin!

And finally the perfect pumpkin :)

After the patch, the kiddos got to have a snack. They had smores that were made by a campfire!

Happy Jack.

Kenzie enjoying every bite of her treat!

Jack and Kaia....Kaia is Jack's best friend from school. Everyday he comes home talking about Kaia. I'm pretty sure she is his first official girl friend!

And of course, playing in a big puddle right before getting in the car to go home! All in all, the pumpkin patch was a great time!

First Day of School (A little Late:))

Jack started school again in August. He goes Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and absolutely LOVES it! He has his favorite teachers, Miss Leslie and Miss Sandy, again this year!

Kenzie wasn't too sure about Jack going to school. When JB dropped him off, she ran into the classroom and wanted to stay! It's a fight everyday to get her back in the car.

Miss Sandy brought Jack in and made him feel right at home. No tears this year!

Surgery Update

Well it was a crazy end of the summer and beginning of fall but we got some great news on Tuesday. I went to the doctor for my 3 month follow up and the X-ray looks great! The bone graft took and the hardware is still in the same place. So for now, I'm allowed to slowly get back to normal life. The hard part is the taking it slow. It's been so long since I've been "normal" and I'm really ready to get back to life!! Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support! We couldn't have gotten through this time without you all!
