First Day of School

Jack started Pre K at the beginning of September.  He was so excited for his first day! He picked out his own outfit and couldn't wait to wear his new school shoes.  He only has 2 kids from his class last year so he's busy making some new friends.  Once again he seems to be more interested in the girls then the boys.  His favorite kids are Georgia and Paige for now!

Kenzie had to get in the picture too even though it wasn't her first day.

Kenzie also started school at the beginning of September. She was so ready to go to school last year and of course now that it was her turn, she wasn't too sure about going. Thankfully Miss Leslie and Miss Krista are fantastic teachers and have helped her get comfortable in her classroom.  We still have a little issue at drop off everyday but I'm hoping that will get better soon!  The good news is she's always happy and very excited at pick up time.

Summer T-ball

Jack was so excited to be signed up for T-ball this summer. They started by having a 1 hour practice for 3 weeks and then played games for the remaining 5 weeks. He loves playing and is getting the hang of hitting and throwing the ball.

Coen Daniel

Coen Daniel Champion surprised us all by arriving on July 29 at 6:36 am. He weighed 8.3 lbs and was 19.8 inches. Grandpa Danny, Grandma Patti, Grandpa John and Grandma Connie were all there to welcome him into this world and he had many visitors within his first couple of hours.

Steph brought Jack and Mackenzie up to the hospital to meet their little brother.  They were so excited to finally meet him!

4th of July

For the second year in a row we were in Snoqualmie for the 4th of July. Pudge and Martha joined us along with their friends Brett and Jenna. We started the day with Pudge making everyone a big breakfast and then headed to the Snoqualmie Falls. In keeping with Carr tradition, we then headed to buy some fireworks and went out for lunch. We then had the privilege of spending the evening with the Gardiner and Kramer families. The kids had a great time riding bikes and playing at the park until the sun went down. We then headed to the Roses' house for a spectacular fireworks show. We had a fantastic day and night!!

The blog is back......

So I know it's been awhile, 9 months in fact, but I'm really going to try and start posting on here again once a week.  The kids have been super busy and are getting so big! They are both anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby brother.  He will be here no later then 9:30 on July 30!!

Summer has finally arrived in Seattle so we've been busy playing outside and taking advantage of the nice weather.  Here are some pictures from soccer, t-ball, and swim camp.

He loved soccer but unfortunately I didn't get very many good pictures.

Jack's first time at bat.  So far he looks like a natural!

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Jack's preschool class took a field trip to the pumpkin patch and families were invited to come. Thankfully JB could take the time off so he joined us too! When we first got to Camp Corey, we got to go on a hay ride around the patch. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that....After the ride, the kids got to make rockets. The rockets were put on a PVC pipe launcher and they got to launch their rockets!! Jack and Kenzie LOVED this part! Daddy helping create the rockets.

Jack getting ready to launch his first rocket.

Kenzie needed a little help, but loved launching the rockets! And off to find pumpkins.......

The deal was you had to be able to carry out your own pumpkin. Jack had to pick up every pumpkin to see if he could carry it out!

Mommy trying to help the kiddos find the "perfect" pumpkin!

Kenzie was very proud of her pumpkin!

And finally the perfect pumpkin :)

After the patch, the kiddos got to have a snack. They had smores that were made by a campfire!

Happy Jack.

Kenzie enjoying every bite of her treat!

Jack and Kaia....Kaia is Jack's best friend from school. Everyday he comes home talking about Kaia. I'm pretty sure she is his first official girl friend!

And of course, playing in a big puddle right before getting in the car to go home! All in all, the pumpkin patch was a great time!

First Day of School (A little Late:))

Jack started school again in August. He goes Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and absolutely LOVES it! He has his favorite teachers, Miss Leslie and Miss Sandy, again this year!

Kenzie wasn't too sure about Jack going to school. When JB dropped him off, she ran into the classroom and wanted to stay! It's a fight everyday to get her back in the car.

Miss Sandy brought Jack in and made him feel right at home. No tears this year!

Surgery Update

Well it was a crazy end of the summer and beginning of fall but we got some great news on Tuesday. I went to the doctor for my 3 month follow up and the X-ray looks great! The bone graft took and the hardware is still in the same place. So for now, I'm allowed to slowly get back to normal life. The hard part is the taking it slow. It's been so long since I've been "normal" and I'm really ready to get back to life!! Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support! We couldn't have gotten through this time without you all!

No Fear

Jack has decided one of his favorite things to do it ride his "bike" down the street in front of our house. The hill doesn't look like it's that steep but he really gets going. He's not quite sure how to stop so he typically bails into a neighbors driveway. The first time it happened, I was sure he was going to get up hurt. Instead, he popped right up, looked back and me and said "That was AWESOME!!! Can I do it again?" It terrifies me and cracks me up every time! Make sure you watch until the end of the video.....

Jack and Bailey

Last night after dinner, Jack disappeared outside. JB went to check on what he was doing and found him snuggling with Bailey. I thought it was too cute so took a few pictures!
